In fact Applegate was such a popular sex symbol; they had to stop rolling tape whenever she walked into the scene during a taping of Married with Children due to the incessant hooting from the men in the crowd. This literally happened during the taping of every single episode.
Thanks to her role as Kelly Bundy, Applegate started getting leading roles on the big screen, starting with Streets; a movie no one would have ever heard of if it wasn’t for Applegate’s pseudo topless scene. I’m pretty sure that scene alone accounts for their entire $86k opening weekend.

Since having one of her pictures on Myspace go viral, Allison Stokke has been named by many as one of the sexiest female athletes of all time.
The then high-school pole vault star started breaking records from day one, getting her a fair amount of notoriety in the track and field world. But it wasn’t until someone picked up on a picture of her at a track-meet did Stokke start to become a well-known name online.
In a time where the internet is choked with pictures of girls trying to be sexy, it was a simple picture of a truly gorgeous girl not trying to be anything but an athlete.

Now let’s be clear about this one: when I’m talking about celebrity crushes on the Olsen twins I’m talking post Mary Kate eating disorder era; right about the time they were featured with a series of photos in GQ.

If you were born in the 80’s you would have watched Saved by the Bell, and if you’re a guy who watched SBTB you would have fallen in love with Kelly Kapowski.
Kapowski, played by Tiffani Thiessen (then, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) got her first tastes of fame after being crowned Miss Junior America, followed up by winning the Teen Magazine great model search at the age of 15.
The Teen Magazine award gave Thiessen her first magazine cover, giving her the publicity she needed to land the lead role on the new Disney teen show: Saved by the Bell.

One of the first TV series I remember ever really getting into has to be the Wonder Years. It’s also the only childhood show which still holds up to the same standards of quality and enjoyment now as it did then.
Maybe it’s because I’ve grown up, and the Wonder Years caters as much to adults as it did kids, but every other show from my childhood is embarrassing, to say the least. At no point in my adult life will I ever be intrigued by the Steven Urkel vs. Stephan Urkelle moral dilemma.

I’ll admit it; I’ve had a crush on Elisha Cuthbert since she was the 15 year old star of the Canadian TV show Popular Mechanics for Kids.
As a 13 year old geek I remember rushing home in my lunch hour to watch the latest episode, lusting with dreams of… well I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with her; just that I wanted it, and wanted it bad.
In addition to giving me one of my first serious celebrity crushes, the show served as a launching pad for the careers of both Cuthbert and her main co-star Jay Baruchel.
