When it comes to gambling, in any form, you’re always pitting your knowledge, foresight, intuition and reasoning against the guy on the other side of the table.

If you’re playing poker you’re betting you know more about the hand than he does, if you’re playing blackjack you’re betting that your ability to make the best choices at the best times is better than the guy who made the rules for the casino.

No matter what you’re betting on, you’re betting that your end will come out on top. When playing a game which requires multiple decisions in a row, such as poker, each choice you make becomes more significant than the last.
